RSPL Group has unveiled a new campaign for Ghadi Rapid Wash, introducing its liquid detergent with a message rooted in how millions of Indian households still do their laundry. Built around the thought "Naye Zamane Ki Dhulayi – Bucket Wash Aasaan Aur Asardaar," the campaign shifts the spotlight from washing machines to bucket washing, positioning the product as a modern solution for one of India's most common laundry habits.
The campaign film captures familiar household moments where hand and bucket washing remain part of everyday life. Instead of presenting liquid detergent as a premium product meant only for machine wash, Ghadi Rapid Wash challenges that perception by showing how its liquid formula dissolves quickly, spreads evenly through water, and helps remove stains with less scrubbing. The storytelling centres on convenience and effectiveness, reinforcing the idea that upgrading to a liquid detergent doesn't require changing the way consumers wash their clothes.
A Liquid Detergent Made for India's Bucket-Wash Culture
The launch addresses a significant gap in India's laundry care market. While liquid detergents have traditionally been associated with washing machines, a large share of Indian households continue to rely on buckets and hand washing. Ghadi Rapid Wash has been developed specifically for these consumers, combining the cleaning performance associated with the Ghadi brand with the ease of a liquid detergent. Powered by Rapid Release Technology, the formula dissolves instantly in water and penetrates fabric fibres to tackle stubborn stains while reducing the effort required during washing.
Commenting on the launch, Rahul Gyanchandani, Joint Managing Director, RSPL Group, said the Indian consumer has long aspired to upgrade but lacked a liquid detergent that matched the way clothes are actually washed in most homes. He noted that Ghadi Rapid Wash brings together Ghadi's trusted cleaning performance with the convenience of liquid detergent at a price point designed to make the format accessible to a wider audience.
Making Liquid Detergent More Accessible
Affordability plays a central role in the product strategy. Ghadi Rapid Wash has been launched in a 900 ml pouch priced at ₹85, alongside smaller entry-level packs, including a ₹5 single-use trial sachet and a ₹10 twin sachet pack. These formats are designed to encourage first-time users to experience liquid detergent without significantly increasing household spending, making the category more accessible across urban and rural markets alike.
With the campaign, Ghadi is not just introducing a new product; it is attempting to redefine consumer perceptions of liquid detergent. Rather than positioning it as an aspirational upgrade reserved for washing machine users, the brand presents it as a practical innovation built around the everyday realities of Indian homes.
By combining relatable storytelling with a strong consumer insight, "Naye Zamane Ki Dhulayi" reinforces Ghadi's long-standing reputation for delivering value-driven innovations. The campaign reflects a broader shift in the laundry care category, where convenience, performance, and affordability are coming together to modernise traditional washing routines without asking consumers to change their habits.
