PwC India has appointed Akshita Summan as Director, marking a significant milestone in her career spanning people strategy, organisational transformation, leadership development, capability building, performance management, and HR consulting.
Summan joins PwC India from PepsiCo, where she most recently served as Lead, People Strategy, Capability and Performance Management. Before this role, she was Senior Manager, Capability Development and Inclusion, contributing to initiatives focused on organisational capabilities, talent development and inclusion.
Her latest appointment also marks a return to PwC India, where she previously spent around three years, progressing from Senior Consultant to Manager. During her earlier tenure, she worked across a range of organisational and people-focused engagements, including organisation restructuring, senior leadership development, culture building, performance management and digital upskilling.
Before joining PwC India, Summan spent nearly four years with EY’s People Advisory Services, gaining consulting experience across performance and KPI design, compensation, workforce planning, digital learning, talent capability development and change management.
Her career has therefore brought together experience from both the consulting and corporate HR sides, giving her exposure to the different challenges organisations face while building talent, strengthening leadership capabilities and managing transformation.
At PepsiCo, her work in people strategy, capability and performance management added an in-house business perspective to her consulting background. Her return to PwC India now brings these experiences together as she takes on a senior leadership role within the organisation.
Summan holds an MBA in Human Resources from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. Her professional journey across EY, PwC India and PepsiCo has focused on helping organisations strengthen people practices, develop capabilities and align workforce strategies with broader business objectives.
With her appointment as Director, Summan is set to build on this experience while contributing to PwC India’s work across people strategy, HR transformation, leadership development and organisational change, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her career.
