Sonia Sharda has been elevated to Managing Partner at Dentsu Creative, marking another step in her rapidly growing leadership journey with the agency. She shared the development on LinkedIn, describing the new role as the next chapter in a journey of learning, building, solving, and growing alongside colleagues, clients, and teams.
Sharda joined Dentsu Creative in June 2023 as Vice President, Business. She was promoted to Senior Vice President in July 2024, followed by an elevation to Executive Vice President in July 2025, before taking on the Managing Partner role in July 2026. The progression means she has moved through four leadership levels at the agency in just over three years.
Before joining Dentsu Creative, Sharda spent more than five years at WATConsult, where she held several roles across operations and account management, including Vice President, Operations for West and South, Associate Vice President, Operations for West, Regional Head, Operations and Group Account Manager.
Her earlier career included stints at Orient Planet, Prime Vision Studio in Dubai, and Perfect Relations, giving her experience across social media, marketing, project management, public relations, and digital business operations.
Sharda's journey at Dentsu Creative has also included work across major brand accounts. Her earlier role as Vice President, Business was credited with campaigns for brands including Tata Motors, where Dentsu Creative and WATConsult worked across digital campaigns.
Her elevation comes at a time when creative agencies are increasingly expected to combine creative thinking with stronger business outcomes, integrated capabilities and deeper client partnerships. Dentsu Creative itself has positioned its offering around creative, technology and customer experience, while its India operations continue to work across multiple marketing disciplines.
For Sharda, the new role represents a significant progression from managing business functions to taking on broader leadership responsibility within the agency.
Her career also reflects the changing nature of agency leadership, where account management, operations, digital expertise, and business strategy increasingly overlap. With experience spanning agencies and markets, Sharda now steps into the Managing Partner role with more than a decade of experience across the advertising and digital ecosystem.
The elevation marks another milestone in her journey at Dentsu Creative and adds a new chapter to the agency's evolving leadership team.
